The Tesco’s stirfry!
So ok this is gonna be a fast short blog! Go buy a bag of Tesco’s ‘value’ stirfry, apacket / box of Tesco’s value mushrooms & A pack of Tesco’s value unsmoked gammon steaks. also buy a bottle of Nando’s ‘Perri Perri’ exra hot sauce if you don’t have a hot spice to add to the mix.
MUST RUN! Cooking this as I blog, tasted great last night!
Cook it!
Add a good splash of veggie oil to the pan, tip in as much of the Tesco’s value stirfry as you want, chop up a BIG bunch of the mushrooms, cut them up twice, maybe three times depending on the size. Slice & dice one of the two Tesco’s value gammon steaks (There are two in a pack for about £1.50). Add splashes of Nando’s Perri Perri sauce to personal taste ( I like ’spicey!’)
Cook it till the veggies look floppy but not frazzled. The veggies should still be a little bit ‘crunchy’ or else you’ve cooked all the goodness out of them!
To help with the Tesco’s value stirfry & veggies - Picture the size of the meal you want on your plate, add an extra third & that’s how much veggies & mushrooms to put in the pan before it’s shrunk as you cook it!

That’s it! I’m off to eat my Tesco’s value stir fry dinner before it gets cold. If the gammon steak cost £1.50, the veggies could’nt of cost more that £2.00 - £3.00. Sorry! I’ve already binned the receipt or else I’d be more accurate on the cost of my bloody brilliant meal for one! Eat your heart out Jamie Oliver & that Ramsay bloke!
