Chip Fest! (Fry’s Fest for the USA!)

So it’s Friday evening. The working week is over. Well, as a (English) kid Friday night was chip’s night. So I decided to eat chip’s & something tonight. I guess it’s the ’something’ that make’s the difference…

Put a big plateful of chip’s in the oven to cook (usually takes about 45 minute’s for oven chip’s). Next, get creative! Slice (or dice) up 3 spring onions & put them in a bowl. Next slice (or dice) up a handful of bean sprouts (stir fry stuff) and add them to the bowl. Being a bit unique I next sliced up about 10 small pickled onions & added them to the bowl. Finally, as I like ’spicey’, I diced up some hot mixwd chillie’s & added them to the bowl. Do this to your own preferred spicy level of tolerance.  It’s all about rocking your taste bud’s on a Friday night & I smoke so I guess I like ’spicey’ as my taste bud’s are ‘nicotine numbed’. Dice up a gammon steak ito roughly 10cm squares & add them to the bowl. Finall, cut a 15mm wide block of cheese (type is your choice, I like cheddar) and grate it all up into a pile. DON’T add it to the bowl! Keep it seperate.

That’s all the hard work done in just 10 minutes. Now go relax while the chips finish cooking!

When the chips are done ‘nuke’ the bowl’s content’s for 2 minute’s in a covered bowl (put a saucer over it) to heat it up & cook it just a little bit. Hold the bowl & saucer in oven glove’s & tip out the water from the bowl. Hold the saucer in place on top of the bowl to do this or you’ll tip the bowl’s content’s into the sink!Next get a plate (pre warmed is best ) and tip the bowl’s content’s and the hot chips on it & mix it up. Finally sprinkle the grated chesse over the top. Put the plate into the hot oven you just switched off after cooking the chip’s for a minute to keep it all hot & melt the cheese.

Next, just eat the lot & enjoy! Worry about ‘total health food’s’ and ‘diet’s’ another day! You deserve a guilty treat once a week so enjoy it!
